PGP Protection

PGP is an cryptographic system developed by Phil Zimmermann. He published the first freeware version of PGP in 1991 in response to Senate Bill 266, which threatened to require all secure communications equipment to include a "trap door" to grant the government access. (The measure was subsequently defeated.) PGP provides encryption and digital signature features, and is available in a freeware and a commercial version. I have been impressed with PGP since the late '90's when I first learned about it. Although it took me until my senior year in college, I have finally decided to start using it regularly. I strongly suggest that you use it as well!

Introduction to PGP

If you aren't already using PGP, you should definitely read this introduction. It not only explains a little about PGP, but discusses the importance of using encryption and digital signatures to protect our liberty. Read the article.

My PGP Public Key

If you are already using PGP, you can obtain my public key here. Using PGP and my public key you can verify e-mails or files I have digitally signed or encrypted. Likewise, if you have a PGP public key, giving it to me will allow me to recognize your digital signature and to encrypt e-mails or files specifically for you. Get my key.
